A Journey Through Faith

"God shows His Love in so many ways!"

Cancer Gone

A testimony from a church member that they had been healed of mouth & throat cancer for some time.  However, during a doctor’s visit they had found some evidence that the cancer resurfaced.

So, the member prayed and stood on faith that they were healed completely of the disease.  After returning to the doctor and having a battery of tests conducted, the physicians came back with their famous “I can’t explain it!” speech and informed the member that they couldn’t find a single thing!

God is a God of healing and restoration indeed!

Found my forgotten CD

God is so good!

Last year I was taking a medical math class and decided to take a trip to the library on this particular day to review some material.  I had placed my CD in the computer drive and studied.  When it was time to leave I had closed everything, packed up and left.

Two days later I was going over some work and decided to work with the CD.  I couldn’t find it!  I had searched frantically for it and couldn’t locate it any where!

I decided to pray and ask God to please show me where it was because I needed it for review.  So, the Holy Spirit directed me to the library.  Unfortunately, it was closed so I had to wait the following day.

A total of four days had passed and I ran to the school library and walked directly to the exact computer terminal.  I opened the drive and Praise God! It was there!  No one touched it!  Thank you Jesus!

Listen to the Holy Spirit because He can show you where you missing things are!

Woman Receives a Major Debt Reduction

A DWO member gave a faith confession in church in March 2009 for a miracle in her debt.  Business had been down for some time now and she was behind on her mortgage.  The mortgage brokers were calling her home demanding $214,000 quickly or her home would go into foreclosure.

She had contacted the mortgage lender requesting some form of negotiation.  Unfortunately, there wasn’t any.  After receiving a final letter in the mail regarding the impending foreclosure of her home, she went to the church to speak to the house attorney for an outline of what she could do from her end.

Holding on to her FAITH that GOD will do the SUPERNATURAL and receiving wise counsel from the church, she contacted the mortgage lender AGAIN for the figure that was owed on the house in order to prevent foreclosure.  After the mortgage lender listened to the homeowner they looked over her documents and stated that the figure was $14,000.

She questioned, “So $14,000 is the amount needed to keep my home out of foreclosure?”

They replied, “No, $14,000 to buy the house outright.  There isn’t any balance of $214,000 owed on the house!”

All of this took place within two weeks of confessing and believing God for a miracle in her debt.

GOD DID A SUPERNATURAL DEBT REDUCTION FOR THIS HOMEOWNER!

God is truly amazing!

Daughter Healed of HIV

Around January 6, 2010 a DWO member sent in a prayer request to our prayer engine for her 21 year-old-daughter who had contracted the AIDS virus from a former boyfriend three years ago.  He did not tell her he had the virus.

She was becoming progressively ill.  So, her mom took her to the doctor for a routine appointment and treatments.  After the doctor did a grueling four hours of tests and exams, they returned with a resounding report:

A)  SHE HAD THE SWINE FLU AND IT WORKED ITS WAY OUT SOMEHOW!

B)  “WE CAN’T FIND THE HIV VIRUS AT ALL!   AS OF TODAY THERE IS NO SIGN OF THE VIRUS AND IT HAS GONE UNDETECTABLE!”

The devil has just received a major black eye!  Don’t you agree?

How great is our God?  Praise be to Him always now and forever more!  He can heal ANYTHING if His children will only believe!

Be blessed!

Confidence in Your Salvation

Background

It is easy to doubt the salvation that Jesus freely gave when He died on the cross. When we fall into sin the devil can easily plant a seed in our mind that tempts us into believing that our salvation no longer exists. Well, the devil is a liar!

Scriptures

He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. – 1 John 5:12 (NKJV)

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. — John 10:27 (NKJV)

And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. – John 10:28-29 (NKJV)

For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again, but the wicked shall fall by calamity. – Proverbs 24:16 (NKJV)

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. – Psalms 46:1 (NKJV)

I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked to Him and were radiant, and their faces were not ashamed. This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him and saved him out of all his troubles. – Psalms 34:4-6 (NKJV)

Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” – Hebrews 13:5-6 (NKJV)

Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. — Romans 8:33-34 (NKJV)

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from teh love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 8:37-39 (NKJV)

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. — 1 John 1:9 (NKJV)

My little children, these thngs I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for hte whole world. — 1 John 2:1-2 (NKJV)

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. — Ephesians 6:10 (NKJV)

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. — Hebrews 4:16 (NJKV)

Confession

1. Because I am saved I am a child of God.

2. Because I am a child of God, I have complete confidence that I am saved and belong to God.

3. Because I am a child of God, I can come boldly for help in any situation.

4. I will face problems and doubts with God’s help.

5. If I fall, I will get back up.

6. God’s Word promises me that if I confess my sin, He will forgive me.

7. Because I am a child of God, I have the power to overcome any problem and trial in my life.

Living A Healthy Life

In 2007 my husband and I had a physical exam and I was astonished at my results!

“This cannot be true!” I exclaimed as I glanced at the test results from my physical exam. The result showed that my LDL was high and my HDL was significantly low. To add insult to injury my weight was unacceptable and my blood pressure wasn’t where I wanted it to be. My husband, a nursing student, looked at me with compassion in his eyes.

“These results are good. You are not unhealthy. The scores are average just like your weight. Stop worrying about it,” my husband said as he stood by the sink eating a bowl of cereal.

“But I don’t want average health. I want optimal health!” I protested vehemently.

“Sweetheart, join the club. This is exactly why I prefer not to know my health score!”

My husband was right. After we became parents we began to neglect ourselves and the healthy foods that we once ate was quickly replaced by whatever was available, quick and easy. With the price of food skyrocketing along with everything else under the sun, making wise food choices is quickly becoming a luxury instead of a right. Yet, I still could not shake my desire for a healthy lifestyle and I began to make changes where I could.

My first step was to pray and tell God my desire to eat healthier and take better care of my body. Once I laid my desire on the altar, things began to fall into place. I began to purchase more affordable foods like frozen fruits and vegetables, old fashion oatmeal, beans, rice and Jiffy corn bread mix. I also began to wake up early in the morning to exercise in the basement on our stationary bike. Before I knew it my husband was joining in and this new healthy lifestyle was quickly becoming second nature!

Blessed with a Camcorder

I have to share this story of how GOOD GOD IS!

In December 2009 I was looking through the digital cameras at Target and Walmart because I really wanted one badly.  The camera that I had no longer worked and I hadn’t taken any pictures of my daughters at home for quite some time.  I had relatives who were asking for pictures and I did not have any to give.  Once a year the children took family photos at Walmart, but nothing was taken at home because we no longer had a camera.  To top it off the girls are beginning to grow up quickly and as much as I wanted to take photos the process was becoming costly.  The Lord had pressed upon my heart to be mindful of the amount of money I was beginning to spend and I had to be obedient to His commands.

Well, on this particular day I was browsing around looking at the cameras wishing that one day I could afford one for my family.  After the girls and I had left the store we went to the community center for a winter celebration event and I had forgotten all about my desire for a digital camera.

In March 2010 a big package came in the mail.  I signed for it and asked my husband what it was.  He replied that he didn’t know.  The package was from my brother-in-law in Texas and I said jokingly that I had hoped that it was a digital camera.  My husband asked why and I said boldly, “I am in faith that God will bless me supernaturally with a camera.  If he can make a donkey talk then He can bless me supernaturally with a camera!  Besides, there are too many people with supernatural testimonies in my church and I am in faith that I will receive the same!”

I opened that box and low-and-behold, a CAMCORDER!  Glory to God!  My brother and sister-in-law blessed us with a beautiful camcorder and not only can I take pictures of my daughters, but record their activities too!  God is good!  HE BLESSED ME WITH THE DESIRE OF MY HEART (Psalm 37:3-8)!

I cried tears of joy because God did not forget my desire.  He did not forget my wish.  Not only did He not forget, but He blessed me with something better!  He placed it upon the hearts of my sister and brother-in-law to bless us with a camcorder.  Listen everyone, God doesn’t forget.  He knows and remembers everything.  If you will trust Him, follow Him, become a devoted child of His, study His Word, remain obedient to Him and submit yourself to His will, He will supply your every need AND bless you will your heart’s desire.  He will lay it upon the hearts of individuals and use them to bless you for God!  God can do that!

Don’t give up on God because He will not give up on you!  I am a living witness!

God is good! :-)

What is in your House?

In church on a Sunday sometime in 2008, Pastor Chad Rowe, a guest minister from Texas, was giving a sermon on second chances and in his sermon he told the story of the widow whose husband died and left her with nothing but his debt (2 Kings 4). Her situation was urgent because the debt collectors were in the process of taking her sons as payment for her husband’s debt. When God’s prophet Elisha was passing through the widow’s town she shared with him her situation and pleaded for his help because she could not pay off the debts.

Elisha asked the widow what she had in her house and she replied that all she had was a little oil. His simple instruction was to grab as many empty vessels that she could possibly find and to pour the oil that was in her possession into each empty vessel until she didn’t have any more to fill. She was instructed to pay off the debts with the available oil and to live off the rest. As soon as she ran out of vessels to fill, the oil stopped. What does this mean?

Are you afraid to step out?

Think about your situation. What do you have in your possession that could make money for you? Are there any old bonds, figurines, or artifacts in your home? What about your talents? Can you draw, sing, paint, write or create pottery? What about construction? Can you build? What about business? Are you an entrepreneur? What can you do?

God has given all of us a talent and a gift. Just like the talents that were distributed to the servants before the master left for his trip (Matthew 25:14-30). The men who invested their talent received a return, and the man who hid his talent wasted it.

What are you afraid of? Is it rejection? Failure? Disappointment? Whatever it is, let it go! We only have one life and once you depart from this life there is no return. So take the plunge and start that business! Do you have a story in mind? Write it! Are you good with children? Teach them! Are you a great homemaker? Then take hold of your home! Whatever it is that God has blessed you with, use it to become industrious. That talent was given to you for a reason.

There is only one you

You are very special and unique. Maybe you have a talent that is strange and unusual to the norms in society. Ignore what they say and follow your heart. It is truly a waste to allow yourself to miss out on the most precious gift there is in life — you. Wouldn’t it be depressing to deny yourself the opportunity to live to your fullest potential? Dare to be you!
